The cassette must have been an after-thought, the controls are almost non-existent (put the cassette in to play, and press the eject button part-way to ff -- no rewind, no pause).
It was difficult to split tracks without bringing the cd into a program on my computer and then burning another one. The whole reason for buying THIS one was to avoid editing on the computer. On many records the 'white space' is short enough that the auto split-track didn't finish before the next song began. So you had to lift the needle. This is possible, but not easy.
