This amp has a beautiful sound. Incredibly warm and natural. The bass is just amazing, deep and tight. I have them running a pair of Infinity Beta 50 (dual 8" woofers, 5" mid, 1" tweeter) and they sound fabulous. The midrange is beautiful and the highs are not too bright with great imaging. This amp sounds warm at any level (some amps get bright when turned up high, but not this one). It never sounds like it's starving the speakers during songs with heavy bass and the dynamics are also wonderful. It should be powerful enough to drive almost any speaker.I used to be suspect of reviewers who say that they can hear more detail in their songs with the addition of a new component, but I can honestly say that the 2125 can reproduce subtleties so well that I can hear things I`ve never heard before.

There may be other amps out there with better specs, but this doesn't mean they sound better. I learned long ago that you can't obsess over specs since a lot of them are fudged any way- you just have to listen and let your ears be the judge. Parasound sound quality is so much more refined than most other companies. It does not have a solid state sound at all.

The build quality is also top notch. The power supply is massive and is the source of most of the unit's weight. It also has some great features like below 20hz or 40hz filtering (so you can hook up a pair of bookshelf speakers and not send them bass frequencies that they cannot reproduce), line level adjustments, input loop (so you can hook up another power amp to the same preamp), and various auto on features. The unit does run a little warm when in use, but not like some cheap Onkyo receiver that you could fry an egg on. I might put a small 12 volt fan on top to keep it cool, but at this point I don't feel it's necessary.

I originally purchased a 45 watt/channel Parasound Zamp about 1.5 years ago to use for a set of speakers in my kitchen and was so amazed at its sound quality that I bought the 2125 for my main speakers. The 2125 is so good that I can't imagine what the Halo version sounds like. If I had the extra cash I would have gotten the Halo, but I am perfectly satisfied with the 2125. My plan is to use it for at least 10 years.
